Well the reason I was so eager to watch fan was the trailer, which was amazing. The bg score really elevated the curiosity of what's going to happen in the movie.

It goes without saying, when expectations are high, even the best of the bests fall short.
Such was the case with Fan. A lot was shown in the trailer and nothing more was present in the movie. Though this is one the best works of SRK, the film fell short on story narration.
The pace was slow and considering the director took time to establish the characters, its fine. But it continues over to the second hand and last few moments of the movie was such a drag. Again this is not a bad movie, its just that the funda of expectation meeting reality never happens.

The CGI and Gaurav character was really well made and for once I could say, they matched the International standards and it worked out great on the screen. All other elements of the movie were  just perfect and added to the storyline, except the part that narration was a little off.

On an another note, the movie was good compared to his earlier movies like Dilwale, Happy New Year or Chennai Express.

Well much said about it, the movie is definitely worth watching in theatre and non-hollywood audience will definitely appreciate the movie. Its promising to see bollywood opening to new genres and enticing audience with variety unlike earlier. Even the big leagues are making the change happen.
